DI Michael Löffler is a Senior Researcher at the Research Institute – Digital Human Rights Center. He studied medical informatics and industrial engineering informatics at the Technical University of Vienna and studies law at the University of Vienna.
From 2008 to 2014 he worked in a data protection NGO, then until 2017 as a legal assistant in law firms specialized in data protection law.
From 2017 to 2022, he was the data protection officer of Austria’s largest non-academic research institution. He regularly contributes to the training of data protection officers. In addition, he is an author and editor of the periodical legal journal “Datenschutz konkret” and the commentary on data protection law “Der DatKomm”.
